Happy Halloween everyone! In the spirit of things I threw together a quick arrangement of Sally’s Song from The Nightmare Before Christmas. I have also included a quick recording I made so you can hear what it sounds like. The first time through I played more to what is on the page, while the 2nd time through I took more of a liberty with interpretation. Happy Halloween and Enjoy!

Really happy to find sheet music for this one! It’s one of my most favorite movies =))
I think I figured out the fingering and I got a question: how exactly do I switch from B played on A-string to E played on D-string. It seems that I have to use finger 1 two times in a row. So if I do that I get a very distinct pause in the middle of the sentence. Do I wanna use a different finger? Could you please help me out with this. Thanks a lot.

Question #2: I registered here myself but can’t view other people’s profiles. Am I missing something?

    • Hello Nadia! The easiest way to ensure smooth playing when having the same finger being used consecutively is to put that finger down on both strings at the same time. You can then pivot your arm if needed to gain the extra little movement.

Unfortunately there is not yet a feature on Stringsavvy to allow for public profiles on site, however I have been looking into it. I plan to begin major work including new higher quality videos and possibly changing the site around starting later this summer. I hope you stick around! Any other questions never be afraid to ask!

if you play guitar, its kinda like barring notes, you just use the one finger to cover both at once, good callouses help
